PHYSIOTHERAPY (INTRODUCTION, CONDITIONS TREATED, TECHNIQUES USED FOR TREATMENT)

Physiotherapy is a medical science which is gaining rapid popularity. In this, there is no use of lots of injections, medicine or any surgery to treat the patient while it uses manual techniques.

Physiotherapy may be considered as a paramedical science but it is highly advanced. Researches are taking place in physiotherapy and new techniques are developed everyday.

Some people think that PT treats only those patient who have muscular or skeletal problems but this is not true. PT is necessary in other problems also like cardiovascular, geriatric, pediatric, antenatal, postnatal, and many more such conditions.

Basically, PT uses several exercises, manipulation, mobilisation, traction, heat and cold therapy, paraffin wax bath, electrotherapeutic modalities like TENS, U.S., LASER, IFT, electrical stimulation and many other techniques.

With the help of proper exercises, massages, manipulation, or other physiotherapy technique, a patients conditions can improve significantly.
